What is the difference between the La Tee Da! fragrance refills and reed diffuser refills?

La Tee Da! Fragrance Refills are alcohol-based products for use only in catalytic effusion / fragrance lamps. La Tee Da! Reed Diffuser Refills are oil-based products. La Tee Da! Reed Diffuser Refills may be used in the Scentuary Décor Diffusers and Scent Notes Fragrance Greetings.

How can I avoid overfilling my effusion lamp?

Opaque effusion lamps do not have the ease of filling the fragrance refill / fuel by sight. In order not to overfill, you will need a glass measuring cup designated as your fragrance lamp measuring cup. Follow these instructions:

1. Fill your lamp with fragrance refill / fuel until you see that it is almost to the neck of the opening.
2. Carefully pour the fragrance fuel from the lamp into the glass measuring cup.
3. The amount that you should be filling your lamp with is 1/2 to no more than 2/3 the amount in the measuring cup.
4. Make note of this amount and use the measuring cup to fill your lamp with the correct amount of fragrance lamp oil.
5. Jot down the amount for future reference
6. Do not use the measuring cup for anything other than filling your fragrance lamp.
